As I was drawing I came to the conclusion that I had not
seen a decent horror film (as I'm not really a huge fan of them from childhood)
in quite a while. Growing up in the 80's I was inundated from an early age with
slasher flicks, which turned me off on them. (What can I say? Freddy and Jason
and Michael Myers and Pinhead gave me nightmares. I was a kid! Sue me!) However,
coming along 20+ years later and with the help of Wikipedia, I decided to do a
bit of what Bush would lovingly call "learnificating." So I looked up the biopages
of both Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees. And I was more intrigued than anything
else, to my surprise. That's when I saw it:

They're remaking A Nightmare on Elm Street in 2010. And as an adult, I get another
chance to embrace the deranged part of my cranium and see with more adult sensibilities,
what I've been afraid of all these years. And I gotta tell ya... After seeing the trailer
for ANoES, I am actually anticipating it's release! It gave me more thrills than chills
and apparently in this one, Freddy is dropping his trademark witty banter, becoming
more horrifying than ever. I CAN'T WAIT!

(btw, I saw Freddy vs. Jason and I wasn't impressed at all. AT -ALL-)

On a more interesting Halloween experiment, I am actually working on a horror novel of
my own, starring everyone's favourite lake haunter, Jason Voorhees. The tale, which I
am thinking of calling Blood Hunt: A Friday the 13th novel, can be read, in short(VERY short)
from my Gallery. The story will be connecting the story canon between Freddy vs. Jason and
Jason X. I won't reveal more than that, because too many idea thieves lurk out there and
I actually wanna make this happen. Wish me luck and Happy Halloween 2009!
